Master craftsman, Peter Berger, was born to German parents who immigrated to Canada just prior to his birth.

From an early age Peter developed a passion for art. As a youth he traveled to Europe several times to stay with relatives who nurtured his growing love of art by introducing him to the works of many of the great masters. Peter, being an avid reader, began his extensive study of art history, which further enhanced his knowledge of, and his passion for art.
Shortly after his graduation, Peter returned to Europe where he would live and work for 2 years. This enabled him to devote more of his time expanding his understanding of the relationship between art and its presentation. During this period Peter acquired a comprehensive knowledge of many individual artistic styles and techniques.
Returning home in 1973, Peter began his apprenticeship at The Frame Shop in New Westminster, B.C. Under the direction of Mr. H.E. Lawson and Mr. Peter Gerloff—both Master Craftsmen in their own right— Peter was tutored in the art of custom framing and restoration.
In the past 30+ years of practicing his profession, Peter has been able to incorporate his passion, style and knowledge of art, with his old world training and modern conservation methods. His clients are thrilled with the finished product he creates.

Both Peter and his wife, Bonnie, share another passion in their lives — 4 black cats and 4 dogs. The dogs travel to and from work every day with Peter. The cats spend their days lounging around and being pampered at home. Bonnie divides her time between taking care of Peter and the dogs, and supervising the cats, at home.
